June 2009: Singapore’s Inflation is Down to 0.5%
Friday, 24 July 2009 -- The Singapore Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell 0.5% in June of 2009. Transport and communication fell 4.7% and the housing also fell 0.7%.
The cost of food, clothing and healthcare rose between 1.9% to 3.3%.
Compared to May 2009, inflation was 0.2% higher on a seasonally-adjusted basis.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is expecting full year inflation to come in between -0.5% and 0.5%.
